Tonight’s live show features our EXCLUSIVE guests, members of the Gwinnett County (GA) alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. From their larger sorority Founders’ Day of January 13, 1913, along with the chapter’s establishment (chartering) on March 8, 2003, under the motto of “Intelligence is the Torch of Wisdom”, the chapter is making its presence felt in their immediate and surrounding communities. Ranging from their National Five-Point Programs to local initiatives including (but not limited to) the State of the Black Economy Forum, Global Safe Drinking Water Initiatives, as well as programs for youth (via Delta GEMS and the Delta Academy), “giving back” to the community is an extension of their larger mission and purpose.

Their upcoming events in April and May provide a balance of fun, but doing so with a sound and sincere purpose. Their upcoming Pumps and Fedoras day party (April 18th from 4-8pm at Theory Lounge in Duluth, GA) provides a great outing for a mature (21 and older) audience to network, relax, and enjoy an early spring afternoon, while their 5K Crimson Run/Walk (May 2nd at Tribble Mill Park in Lawrenceville, GA) provides runners, walkers, and fitness fans an opportunity to not only compete, but heighten awareness within health and wellness. Both events are supporting the Fortitude Foundation, their nonprofit arm which provides scholarships and other community-centered programming.
