Bad Boy Black Rob Passes Away

Another sad day in the hip hop community. Today most of us are waking up to the news of former Bad Boy hip hop artist Black Rob’s passing away. Just a little over a week after loosing famed rapper DMX, whom the world continues to mourn; another hip hop icon looses his battle.

This turn of events happened so quickly, Black Rob had just made a video message courtesy of DJ Self stating the impact of DMX’s death had on him. Rob, 51 who’d was on top of the world at one point; had been suffering from several health issues. The artist who was best known for his hit single “Whoa!” , had previously served time and at one point seemingly bounced back. So much so that he went in the Bad Boy Reunion tour.

After the video was posted of a frail Black Rob, he received additional love and support from his fellow label mates snd others. Diddy even reached out to his former artist and had a lengthy conversation, this comes only a mere few days before Black Rob’s passing.

At any rate, Black Rob made his mark in history and with Bad Boy. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends during these difficult times.
